I Hate The Monkey Bars!

Nothing is worse for me than hearing one of my babies (students) is hurt. Today a very brave little first grader sat calmly with me and her teachers while we applied ice to an injured arm just above the wrist. Mom got there and we slid her arm on a trusty clipboard to keep it flat and straight and got her loaded into the car. I've worried all day and just got word - broken. :(

Anyone interested in taking the monkey bars off the K-1 playground?

Fiddlesticks! I was hoping it wasn't! The three of you with her yesterday just touched my heart! There's no place like Chet's!

Like Bill Cosby said about the monkey bars,"I made it a policy as a kid never to play on anything that I didn't see a grown up play on." :) MM

Yikes! That so reminds me of a field trip I was on where one of my kids broke his arm on a playground and then rode the bus back to school without shedding a tear until mom showed up. It turned out OK, and the mom even let me teach the younger daughter.

If it wasn't the monkey bars, it would be the swings....Maybe, we should bubble-wrap the kids?

Peace,
