Amazing Math
I'm always so amazed at the way a student's mind works, especially in Math. In third grade today they were using a wide variety of strategies to solve and prove problems - from ratio tables to division clusters - wow! I was especially blown away by J's out if the box thinking when it came to dealing with remainders in his division cluster. Just brilliant.

I had to study question number two for a while to get it, but that's really cool. Same for the ratio tables. As a fifth grade math teacher, I cannot overstate the importance of divergent thinking on the part of students and teachers. Math is a field of study; not a set of directions!

Love the practical application and problem solving going on at such a young age! The third grade teachers are so good at pulling this out of the kids.
