Bus Drills Baby!

There's nothing more important than student safety. Twice a year we make sure they know what to do in case of an emergency on the bus. We also double checked how they were wearing their seat belts!

This is one of those things that we so take for granted, like fire drills, but on the day that there is an emergency (God forbid!), I am so proud that we are prepared!

Being at the top of the age spectrum in elementary school up here in 5th grade, I had never given this much thougt at all. However, I do see the huge importance of this ritual. Hopefully, it might even carry over into car rides.

I must admit, though, that my first thought was of the movie "Airplane". OK, everybody assume the crash position....

Peace,
