Calling All Readers!

This year's kickoff to our Readers to Leaders Million Word Campaign was "pie in the face" fun, literally.  To encourage our students to get started on the million words they need to read this school year I committed to getting "pied" if they made the promise to meet their reading goals for the year. I took it just like any good clown would, right in the kisser! I will do anything to get my kids to read!  I can hardly wait to see what's in store for them each quarter if they meet that goal!

Our kids loved seeing you get "pied." They especially liked it when a certain crazy clown surprised you at the end! :)

"This is the best day ever!" The most repeated line I heard from our new Creekers after they've witnessed their principal get "pied" in the face SEVERAL times. They couldn't believe that their principal would take on such a challenge just to get them to read. Hats off to you for being such an awesome ringleader willing to do just about anything to make this the greatest school on earth. :-)
