The Walk
Tonight before I left school KK and I did the walk...the one we always take the night before Orientation to take care of all the "bits and pieces" that end up in strange places around the school. It's always funny to find a random chair or broom stuck in the strangest place. Tonight was different, I was pushing a stroller with my two year old in it. She only flipped out when we had to ride in the elevator. Even she knows that's an iffy experience! The hallways look amazing! My incredible teachers have outdone themselves creating the most welcoming environments for students. I lost count of the teachers I saw hours after the end of their paid work day attending to the finishing touches. I am constantly reminded about how extraordinary this group of people are. Their dedication and talent amazes me. It was a walk to remember...

You are an inspiration to all of us. We all know that there is nothing that you would ask of us that you wouldn't do yourself.Thank you, thank you.
Great start to a great year. So excited about our WILD theme this year.
The halls have never been more inviting and exciting. I can't remember when I've seen more teachers working long hours. Passion and dedication oozes through the walls. How fortunate I feel to work at the Creek!
Cindy is right! You have always lead by example. Thank you for all that you do for us and the many sacrifices you make. Here is to Creek Life!
I'm glad you are blogging again. It's nice that you (and Miss Pat) keep the school open for us to get set up. Some teachers in other schools get locked out at 4:00. I couldn't imagine that.

You are right on all counts. The school looks great. There are teachers that are totally married to their craft (I plan to see Tracy again next June), and your baby-girl has awesome intuition, as the elevator is as evil as thing could be!
Peace,

I don't like the elevator either Avin! What did she think of our wild visitors everywhere throughout the school?
CCE always looks AMAZING, but this year KK, Nikki, Karen, teachers, custodians, and all others involved have really outdone themselves.
BTW, I've never been a fan of that elevator, but ya'll aren't making me feel better that my son (& I) will have to ride it for the next 6 weeks. If you hear yelling, please come get us!

LOVE Chets and the family that we have become!! My baby boy left Chets last year to attend Fletcher as a 6th grader this school year. He left such big shoes to fill for his little sister who began kindergarten this year!!She loves that her teachers know her big brother. This has been a great first week of school & Our girl has had soooooo much to talk about this week! Mrs. Phillips you are wonderful and your staff outstanding! Thank you!!
