It's Due, Maybe...

I had to step away from the Daily Special for a little while.  Life kinda took over and left me with half done posts or pictures but no words or just some days where I couldn't possibly write about the biggest item on my plate for the day, nicely.  But as of today - I'm back!

Beyond being a Principal I'm a wife, mother, sister, aunt, sister in law, niece and cousin and I get it when life overwhelms and you just have to take a step back, breathe deeply and prioritize. I feel a little like everyone cycles through times like that and now seems to be that time for us at Chets so...you have a choice.  That board that's due Friday, well you can go ahead and do it OR you can wait and put one up on April 5 (there isn't another one scheduled until May 8 and it's the Work Over Time board).  Do it now or if you need the breather, do it later. It's my offering of undersanding the stress we are all under.

Look for fun to come in the next few weeks.  I think we all need to laugh a little more, enjoy each other and take some time to breathe. It'll be fun to see who actually reads this blog...:)

Do we get a prize for being first to comment or should I hold my breath? ;)

I'm not even required to do a board and I'm thrilled for everyone in the building!!

Thank you for your leadership. For knowing that many of us are feeling stressed and anxious right now. You have created a community of teachers that are so dedicated and hard working that this gift of time choice is greatly appreciated.

Do you see me doing my happy dance?

<3 You have no idea how much that means to us....especially us, the 4th grade ELA ladies! I might do this one, or I might wait, but having a choice makes a biggg difference in life. :) Thank you!

While I am not anyone's wife, sister, aunt, mom, or sister-in-law, I sure do have an understanding of the pull of events outside of CCE.

Don't know about the board. We dreamed up a crazy good idea, but we might go crazy by trying to get it done by Friday.

Then, there is that Golden Spoon thing too. If nobody else puts up a new board....winners by default?

Thanks a million for the
options :-}

Peace,

T-Cubed

Isn't funny to see how happy we get for just a few more minutes? Life is so precious - sometimes we do need to look around us, live in the moment and be thankful. MM

5th Grade ELA won the Golden Spoon Award last month so we get a bye, but I am still excited that you get it and understand the stress that we are all under!! Taking time to breathe is so important! You're awesome!

Thank you! My level of stress can be described as nuclear! Not sure whether I will go bald or shed my skin this week!

If you saw the pictures I posted of my son getting his hair cut this weekend, then you saw the face of "not having a choice". Knowing that you understand that life is happening outside the doors of Chets makes me appreciate you even more. Thanks for being such an amazing leader. Christine :)

So glad not to have to put a board up because we don't have anything exciting to display right now. Just starting new unit in science and math is in beginning of unit also. Reports (Readers and Writers) won't be done for awhile. Much appreciated in M&M world.

This was a great idea! I decided to get the board done so I wouldn't have to work on it on my honeymoon. I don't think they'll let my paper cutter through security at the airport. ;)
