Readers to Leaders - I Walked the Plank!

I will do anything to get our kids to read - I even walked the plank because the kids promised to read one million words this school year! 

A New Queen Reigns - Mrs. Angela Phillips

Our own Angela Phillips was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching for the state of Florida and we couldn't be prouder.  She has long been a pioneer in the field of math education and serves as our schools' Math Coach, all while still teaching fulltime.  We vote Angela for President!

On International Talk Like A Pirate Day - what do you do? Dress like pirates and enjoy Krispy Kremes together!   fun is required when there is tough work to do - ARRRGGGHHH!

First Day of School - Again!

Well, here I am again as a parent of a Creeker.  Baby Girl starts Kindergarten today as the cutest little pirate on the ship!

Not Your Ordinary First Day Mateys - ARGH!!!

This year it's all about DARING to be different, EXPLORING the unknown, DISCOVERING great bounty and ASTONISHING the world! We opened the year with team treasure hunts, STEAM activities and charted the course for the coming year ahead!

Treasure maps sometimes begin and end closer to home than we think.  The loot is in the walking of the map, not in arriving at the X.

• This year we will DARE to be different – we already are so why not embrace that being different is what makes us so special.
• We will EXPLORE the unknown because you will never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
• We will DISCOVER great bounty by enjoying every leg of the journey, appreciating each new thing uncovered along the way.
• We WILL ASTONISH the world because no cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it – and we will fight for what is right for our students, for ourselves, for our school.

Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do so Me Hearties...throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails!
