I might need to schedule a quick summer get-away soon too. ;-)Patricia Wallacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08414053508886022136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503458589743060458.post-1439657954937726782010-10-13T19:16:57.067-04:002010-10-13T19:16:57.067-04:00I love a good story any time of year. I have four books on my nightstand just begging to be read.

My tastes move from fiction to non-fiction, biographies to memoirs; throw in a mindless magazine or two and I'm set.

At this particular moment, I am engrossed in a Beth Moore Bible study. The reading is a little more thought-provoking and the writing in the workbook time-consuming, but I'm learning a great deal in the process. It has been very refreshing for the soul.

May you find time for summer reading this fall....Dee Dee Tamburrinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01294709572081378357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503458589743060458.post-10243576231661320932010-10-12T11:00:21.725-04:002010-10-12T11:00:21.725-04:00What was the title of this great book? What was the title of this great book?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503458589743060458.post-1801782491082404822010-10-11T13:39:11.779-04:002010-10-11T13:39:11.779-04:00I try to sprinkle my winter reading with some summ...I try to sprinkle my winter reading with some summer text in there to make the winter go by faster! However, it is a VASTLY different type of nonfiction reading.

Last summer, I read a 600 page biographical piece on Doc Holliday (he led a very interesting life) and about 20 magazines about Jeeps and vintage motorcycles.

Maybe it's a gender issue. Any thoughts? I do know that about 95+% of all adult reading is nonfiction, and that knowledge does make me question the balance of classroom reading, but what would you expect froma a math teacher?

I hope you soon get chance to read your book. As for me, Wyatt Earp awaits.

Peace,

T-CubedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6503458589743060458.post-59757194379421805482010-10-09T20:49:03.987-04:002010-10-09T20:49:03.987-04:00Like the moon, my reading for pleasure also waxes ...Like the moon, my reading for pleasure also waxes and wanes according to the seasons. Textbooks about reading have been my focus for the past year.
